The Enterprise Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting automation and integration solutions that improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of enterprise IT operations. This role partners with Infrastructure, Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Procurement, Service Desk, HR, and other business teams to automate processes, integrate enterprise platforms, and eliminate manual work through scripting, APIs, orchestration, and workflow automation.
The Enterprise Automation Engineer develops solutions that connect enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Saviynt, procurement and ERP systems, cloud services, identity providers, and infrastructure management tools to streamline provisioning, access management, procurement, asset lifecycle management, and service delivery.
Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow, Saviynt, procurement systems, ERP platforms, cloud platforms, identity providers, infrastructure management tools, and other enterprise applications.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, software deployment, patching, monitoring, and operational support processes.
Design and implement end-to-end workflows supporting hardware procurement, software requests, purchasing approvals, vendor fulfillment, inventory management, and asset lifecycle processes.
Automate identity lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, offboarding, application provisioning, entitlement management, and access governance.
Develop integrations utilizing REST APIs, SOAP services, webhooks, message queues, and enterprise integration technologies.
Identify manual, repetitive processes across IT and business operations and implement scalable automation solutions.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, IAM, Procurement, Asset Management, HR, and business stakeholders to design automation that improves operational efficiency and service delivery.
Develop reusable automation frameworks, integration standards, and best practices.
Troubleshoot automation failures, integration issues, and workflow exceptions while continuously improving reliability and performance.
Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and knowledge articles supporting automation solutions.
Ensure automation solutions comply with security, governance, audit, and compliance requirements.
Develop reporting and dashboards that measure automation adoption, operational efficiencies, and business value.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3–7 years of experience developing enterprise automation, integrations, or infrastructure engineering solutions.
Strong experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.
Strong understanding of Windows Server, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise IT operations.
Experience with source control platforms such as Git.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Experience with ServiceNow, including Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, IntegrationHub ETL, and platform integrations.
Experience with Saviynt Identity Cloud or other Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms.
Experience integrating identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, or Ping Identity.
Experience integrating procurement or ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Coupa, Ariba, Jaggaer, or similar solutions.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Boomi, or other enterprise integration platforms.
Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), Configuration Management (CMDB), and enterprise service management.
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments including Azure and AWS.
