Enterprise Architect – Java / Angular / Airline Domain

Contract: 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join a leading enterprise technology environment within the airline industry. This role is ideal for a highly skilled architect with deep expertise in enterprise-scale Java and Angular solutions, cloud-native architecture, and modern engineering practices.

The successful candidate will play a key role in defining enterprise architecture strategy, guiding development teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and resilient digital solutions supporting airline business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Define and own solution architecture for enterprise applications built using Java and Angular.
• 
  Design scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing systems for airline business functions.
• 
  Lead architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and technology selection initiatives.
• 
  Provide technical leadership across backend and frontend engineering teams.
• 
  Architect and guide the development of:
  • 
    Microservices
  • 
    APIs
  • 
    Event-driven systems
  • 
    Cloud-native applications
• 
  Drive development of responsive and user-friendly Angular front-end applications.
• 
  Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional airline requirements into technical solutions.
• 
  Establish and enforce engineering best practices across:
  • 
    CI/CD
  • 
    DevOps
  • 
    Security
  • 
    Observability
  • 
    Performance optimization
• 
  Improve application architecture for scalability, resilience, and availability.
• 
  Mentor developers and technical leads on architecture principles, design patterns, and modern engineering practices.
• 
  Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
• 
  Support effort estimation, technical roadmap planning, and release governance activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture roles.
• 
  Strong expertise in:
  • 
    Java
  • 
    Spring Boot
  • 
    Angular
  • 
    REST APIs
  • 
    Microservices architecture
• 
  Experience designing enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• 
  Strong understanding of cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
• 
  Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and observability tooling.
• 
  Knowledge of security best practices and enterprise governance standards.
• 
  Proven ability to lead technical teams and architecture initiatives.
• 
  Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 
  Experience within airline, travel, transportation, or other enterprise domains is highly advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• 
  Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• 
  Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
• 
  Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
