Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Transformation & Operations - Organisational Development & Governance team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as an Enterprise Architect IT

Our team shapes Hannover Re’s long-term business and IT architecture. We ensure that strategic initiatives, value stream roadmaps and local developments are consistently aligned with the Group Strategy, the Enterprise Capability Model and the defined Target Architecture. You support this work through structured, forward-looking architectural analyses and clear recommendations, enabling decisions to be made quickly, on a sound basis and with long-term sustainability in mind.

You can look forward to


  • Supporting strategic initiatives, project ideas and early assessments and contributing to multi-year portfolio and transformation planning

  • Aligning planned initiatives and value stream roadmaps with the Group Strategy, the Enterprise Capability Model and the Target Architecture

  • Analysing existing and planned architectures and assessing dependencies, synergies, risks and impacts across multiple initiatives

  • Developing structured architectural analyses and providing clear recommendations to enable well-founded and sustainable decision-making

  • Advising local entities on group-wide architectural principles and design guardrails and managing conscious architectural deviations in a transparent manner

  • Further developing enterprise-wide architecture models and overviews and contributing to Enterprise Architecture governance activities

You come equipped with


  • Several years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or comparable strategic architecture roles, ideally in the financial services or insurance sector

  • A completed university degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering or a comparable qualification

  • Proven experience with Enterprise Capability Maps, Architecture Governance, Architecture Reviews and the development of current and target landscapes

  • Proficient user skills in English and conversational German

  • Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented working style

  • Confident and strong communication and facilitation skills when working with business and IT stakeholders
