Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Applications Architect to
design and define the structure, components, and interactions of
enterprise-level application systems. This role focuses on delivering scalable,
secure, and high-performing architectures across complex, distributed
environments while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best
practices.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Define
  application architecture, including structure, components, and
  relationships between systems
• 
  Identify
  reusable components, software layering, and interface specifications
• 
  Design
  and manage cross-platform applications within large, distributed
  environments
• 
  Monitor
  system interactions and define requirements and constraints for source
  code
• 
  Define
  integrations between applications, databases, and middleware systems
• 
  Develop
  enterprise architecture deliverables, models, and documentation
• 
  Lead
  system analysis, design, and implementation using structured methodologies
• 
  Design
  secure system-to-system integrations using APIs and web services
• 
  Facilitate
  workshops and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• 
  Perform
  solution analysis, risk evaluation, and cost-benefit assessments
• 
  Guide
  projects through architecture governance processes and checkpoints
• 
  Design
  data, application, and information architectures across enterprise systems
• 
  Develop
  cloud-based applications and workflows using Microsoft Azure technologies
• 
  Lead
  multi-tier architecture design and large-scale system implementations
• 
  Ensure
  proper documentation of architecture, data models, and UML diagrams
• 
  Provide
  technical leadership on complex IT architecture issues
• 
  Collaborate
  with stakeholders and teams to resolve technical and business challenges

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  10+
  years of experience as a Business or Applications Architect
• 
  Strong
  experience with large-scale, multi-system programs
• 
  Experience
  designing API-based architectures and integrations
• 
  Expertise
  in enterprise application, data, and information architecture
• 
  Strong
  experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• 
  Experience
  with cloud-based architectures, including Microsoft Azure
• 
  Deep
  understanding of architecture governance processes and standards
• 
  Experience
  with UML, system analysis, and design methodologies
• 
  Strong
  analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• 
  Excellent
  communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Technical Expertise

• 
  Experience
  with multiple platforms, operating systems, and database technologies
• 
  Experience
  with middleware, gateways, and distributed systems
• 
  Knowledge
  of performance optimization in various environments
• 
  Hands-on
  experience with PowerDesigner and MS Office tools (Word, Excel,
  PowerPoint, Visio)

Desirable Skills

• 
  Knowledge
  of object-oriented analysis and design
• 
  Experience
  with enterprise architecture frameworks such as Zachman
• 
  Understanding
  of information management principles and practices
• 
  Experience
  designing workflows, dynamic forms, and complex applications

  Familiarity
  with public sector architecture standards and methodologies
