Job Description

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Enterprise Architect with a Secret security clearance to support KITS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. This is an onsite position.

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide Cemetery Enterprise Application Support (CEAS) across the evolving Cemetery Management suite of cloud applications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and demonstrate a commitment to supporting our nation's military cemeteries with the highest standards of excellence.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Enterprise Architect will provide specialized professional expertise and support to implement the goals of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) operations and management for cemetery management systems. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Provide Enterprise Architecture (EA) support in accordance with the DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) for cemetery management and business systems
• Support OCIO strategic planning initiatives and align IT investments with strategic goals and objectives
• Participate in and support the Enterprise Architecture Governance Board (EAGB)
• Develop and maintain architecture artifacts and documentation in compliance with DODAF standards
• Support the Project Management Office in managing the development and operations of IT-based cemetery management systems
• Assist with change management and governance processes, including support to the Change Control Board (CCB)
• Conduct inter-agency coordination with external cemetery stakeholders
• Support the migration, operations, and maintenance of the evolving Cemetery Management suite of cloud applications
• Define and establish business processes that support cemetery operations
• Ensure all architecture deliverables meet the special requirements and high standards expected for national military cemetery operations

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university; or 7 years of experience in related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience with the latest DOD/DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and its application to enterprise systems
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain architecture artifacts and documentation
• Experience with cloud-based application architectures and migrations
• Excellent understanding of IT governance processes and change management
• Proven ability to align IT investments with organizational strategic goals and objectives
• Experience supporting governance boards and change control processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, given the sensitive nature of military cemetery operations
• Experience with inter-agency coordination and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation and presentations for executive audiences
• Knowledge of DoD and Army IT policies, directives, and standards

Clearance Requirement:
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance

Other responsibilities:
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership team
