ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT SME
Enterprise Architect providing subject matter expertise on the command strategies, missions, roles, functions, and theater support requirements necessary to development and maintain the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Enterprises IT Architecture. This critical role ensures that all technology investments, infrastructure, and systems are explicitly aligned with warfighting missions, Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) objectives, and strict security protocols within Impact Level 2 (IL2), Impact Level 5 (IL5), Impact Level 6 (IL6), and Coalition Partner environments. Develop the USCENTCOM IT Enterprise Architecture transition plan guiding command transition from the “As-Is” to the “To-Be” architecture. Attend DoW, Joint Staff, USCENTCOM, Coalition and Industry Partner engagements to support command objectives. Analyze USCENTCOM architectures, Warfighting, Business, Enterprise Information Environment (EIE) processes, and existing enterprise IT to identify and recommend architectural, IT, or process solutions. Identify future technology and Joint Force capabilities and potential architectural and capability impacts for USCENTCOM and provide recommendations regarding the CCJ6 Strategic Architectures Line of Effort organization and functions.
This position reports directly to the CITS Program and Deputy Program Manager.
Principle Responsibilities
The USCENTCOM Enterprise Architect position primarily focuses on the following activities:
Strategic Alignment Translate COCOM operational requirements into technical strategies. Ensure IT Roadmaps directly support the Commander/J6 priorities, DoW directives, and Joint Staff requirements.
Architecture Frameworks: Guide the development, management, and maintenance of complex architectural products and models utilizing the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
JADC2 & Interoperability Design resilient architectures that mandate interoperability across joint services, interagency partners, and coalition forces to facilitate seamless Command and Control (C2) and ISR data sharing.
Cloud & Tactical Infrastructure: Architect secure, highly available hybrid-cloud and edge computing environments (e.g., via JWCC) capable of sustaining operations in Disconnected, Intermittent, and Limited (DIL) environments.
Security & Zero Trust: Embed DoD Zero Trust Strategy principles into all network, applications, and system designs. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure continuous compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
IT Governance: Chair or serve as a principal advisor on the Architecture Review Board (ARB). Enforce enterprise standards, evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, 5G), and optimize the IT portfolio to eliminate redundancy.
Communication: Chair Develop and lead executive level briefings on USCENTCOM IT Enterprise Architecture and related activities.

Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance preferred; Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI is mandatory.
Education Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related STEM discipline.
Professional Experience Minimum 15 years of progressive IT engineering experience, with at least 5 years specifically operating as an Enterprise Architect within a DoW entity at the Service or Combatant Command echelon.
Experience leading program execution of service strategy, design, and transition to Operations and Sustainment for a large Defense customer.
Experience in strategic planning, including contributing recommendations with supporting data and preparing and executing action plans.
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Private Sector Executive and/or Senior Government Executive customers with IT requirements
Domain Knowledge
Significant knowledge and experience with USCENTCOM IT Enterprise.
Desired Skills:
Framework Expertise
Expert-level proficiency in modeling complex systems using DoDAF, UAF, and TOGAF methodologies.
Required Certifications:
DoD 8140 / 8570 Compliance
Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level III (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or CASP+).
Security+

TOGAF 9/10 Certified, or formal certification in DoDAF/UAF application.

The likely salary range for this position is $174,250 - $235,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
