As we continue to lead in technological advancements, Vault is now entering a defining phase of growth with a strategic $22.5 million investment from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC). This investment will scale Vault's SECRET Cloud and introduce new services such as the AUKUS cloud capability, directly addressing Australia's strategic national security demands. Vault is now positioned to not only strengthen its existing relationships with federal and state government agencies, but also strengthen its relationships with private sector businesses requiring secure cloud storage.To support this growth, we are bolstering our capability by adding numerous key roles that are integral to our future success. We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to be the primary custodian of architectural integrity and the lead for the Design Authority within Vault Cloud. In this brand new role, you will report to the Chief Information Officer and trade traditional checklist architecture for true strategic leadership, establishing and maturing a robust governance framework that codifies business led principles and regulatory constraints straight into our hyperscale product delivery lifecycle. Leading a team of domain specialists, you will focus on the structural maturity of our entire technology function. You will build the processes, registers, and standards that ensure all technical outcomes are deeply documented, governed by defined patterns, and compliant with critical sovereign survivability requirements. If you want to take ownership of the "Master Blueprint" for Australia’s only sovereign hyperscale cloud, this is your next move.

You will:

• Mentor and develop our Domain Architects.
• Lead the Design Authority to ensure every project complies with our long-term enterprise vision.
• Own the Architectural Services Catalog, auditing the "as-built" environment against the Master Blueprint while defining technology lifecycles and technical success metrics.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Australian Citizenship: Must hold or have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in leading, managing, and mentoring domain specialists, with the confidence to act as an enforcement authority while maintaining collaborative relationships.
• Extensive experience in senior architectural roles covering Data, App, Infrastructure, and Security domains.
• A proven track record of establishing and maturing Design Authority functions, Architecture Review Boards, and formal architectural registers within mission-critical ecosystems.
• Deep technical mastery across Infrastructure, Networks, and Security, with the ability to interrogate complex designs and hold technical peers accountable to constraints.
• Significant experience adapting industry frameworks (such as TOGAF, NIST, or ISO) to unique, high integrity, or sovereign business propositions where standard rules don't always apply.
