Job Description

JPC Partners is looking for an Enterprise Architect that will be responsible for technology planning and road mapping that will enable cross-platform architectural integrations and evolution. This includes cloud architecture, data architecture, service oriented systems architecture, microservices, middleware, and systems integration. This position will partner closely with other technology leaders across the organization to enable transformational technology changes for the business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with IT leadership and the business to perform strategic analyses, identify opportunities, and design solutions for our enterprise.
  • Partner closely with technology leads across the organization and with external partners to conceptualize and realize an integrated architecture to support all initiatives, including digital, customer system integrations, vendor integrations, marketing systems integrations, ERP integrations, master data management, and more.
  • Direct a team of technical resources to include microservices and middleware development, data architecture, Boomi development, ETL development, and more.
  • Drive and guide the creation of a wholistic technical architecture for a complete solution, ensuring that as new systems are developed and existing systems are maintained, the underlying foundation is in place to ensure long-term sustainability, flexibility, scalability, optimal total cost of ownership, and the overall optimal return on investment. This includes elimination of redundancy of applications and reducing technical risks/debt.
  • Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure company technology and data standards, governance processes and performance metrics meet employed strategies and deliver value to the organization.
  • Provide key input to development of the technology strategic roadmap and ensure its integration with the company’s strategic planning process.
  • Provide key input to the technology sourcing strategy, to include vendor system reviews for applicability, technological soundness, and security.
  • Document and maintain a complete enterprise architecture technologies catalog.
  • Act as a champion through continued focus on proactively identifying and addressing processes for improvement.
Education, Training, Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in solutions architecture, or related senior technology leadership role.
  • Business acumen in wholesale distribution and B2B / B2C ecommerce / digital tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business operations / processes and translation of them into technical solutions.
  • Ability to develop and lead transformational strategies in a complex and dynamic environment, utilizing digital opportunities to innovate business models and enable the digitalization of the business.
  • Ability to identify and leverage resources internally and externally to enhance capabilities that drive digital technology.
  • Proven aptitude with iterative process / development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Skilled ability to work in a multi-product environment in a matrix organizational design.
  • Direct technical and business process experience with Epicor Eclipse and companion products strongly desired.
  • Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and written communications.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
