Summary of Job Responsibilities
This position is responsible for developing, configuring, deploying, maintaining, testing, monitoring, and improving enterprise technology systems and business applications for the organization. The role supports a broad portfolio that may include SaaS platforms, workflow tools, AI-enabled capabilities, virtual agents, agentic AI solutions, and business applications such as Workday. Serves as an escalation resource for technical matters and participates in projects involving requirements gathering, analysis, design, configuration, integration, security, and operational support. Performs application and systems security maintenance, planning, and implementation for enterprise applications while continually identifying opportunities to improve reliability, automation, user experience, and day-to-day operational effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Application Intake & Lifecycle Governance: Participate in and help enforce enterprise application intake, onboarding, and lifecycle processes, ensuring architecture review, security controls, ownership assignment, access considerations, support expectations, and retirement or transition planning are established before implementation. Identify governance gaps and work with stakeholders to remediate them.
- Application Platform Administration & Support: Administer, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and support enterprise applications and associated platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. Ensure systems are reliable, secure, patched, and operating within established standards through routine maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Operational Excellence & Problem Resolution: Investigate incidents, analyze recurring issues, and contribute to durable solutions through configuration changes, process improvements, automation, or documentation updates. Help improve service stability, reduce repeat failures, and strengthen production support practices.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Design and implement automation and repeatable processes that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and enhance operational efficiency. Identify undocumented workarounds or individual-dependent tasks and partner with stakeholders to standardize, simplify, and improve them. Support approved intelligent capabilities, such as AI-enabled tools, virtual agents, or agentic workflows, in alignment with governance, security, and business requirements.
- Requirements, Configuration & Integration Support: Partner with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and vendors to gather and clarify technical and functional requirements. Participate in solution design, configuration, testing, and integration activities that support enterprise applications and related business processes.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including system configurations, standards, procedures, support materials, troubleshooting guides, and recovery documentation. Produce materials that enable consistent operations, knowledge transfer, and faster issue resolution.
- Project Contribution & Delivery: Lead or contribute to small and moderate-sized projects under general direction. Provide technical input to planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and transition to support, ensuring solutions align with organizational standards, support models, and timelines.
- Security, Risk & Compliance Alignment: Implement and follow security, access, privacy, and compliance requirements applicable to enterprise applications and supporting technologies. Work with security, governance, and business teams to ensure configurations and processes align with organizational policies and risk management practices.
- Resiliency & Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery planning, documentation, testing, and continuity activities for assigned applications and platforms. Support recovery exercises and help ensure systems meet established availability and recovery objectives.
Other Duties and Responsibilites
- Participate in training and professional development activities to maintain and expand technical knowledge relevant to enterprise applications.
- Research emerging technologies and contribute recommendations that support evolving business and technology needs, under guidance from senior engineers and leadership.
- Support proofs-of-concept, pilots, and evaluations for new tools or platforms as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job
Qualifications
- You periodically attend technical training related to your field.
- Degree in a technical (STEM) field and two years’ experience in a technical role preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expert in key technology/platform within technology stack.
