About the role
This internship is part of a strategic IT initiative to design and build an Enterprise Applications Co-Op Promotion Planning and Accounting (Rebate Management) platform that supports creation of vendor rebate contracts, approval and signatures of contracts, and subsequently tracking, calculation, validation, and reporting of vendor rebates across Merchandising, finance, and accounting teams.
The intern will gain hands-on experience working on a real enterprise system, collaborating with business stakeholders, program managers, IT System Integrators, architects, and developers using modern technologies and hybrid/agile delivery practices. The intern will support our team in creating flow diagrams, reporting, project planning, and other activities as assigned. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT project management and IT delivery activities and also assist with other initiatives in the IT Finance department.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Project Management, MIS
Strong interest in IT enterprise applications and project management.
Strong interest in developing skills on enterprise-grade SaaS applications.
Excellent data analysis skills.
Proficient in Excel and power point data
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Previous internship experience in IT or project management is a plus.

Working conditions & physical requirements
Location: Hybrid | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at the Sally Beauty Support Center, Legacy West (Plano, TX); Remote Thursday or Friday
The typical working environment is in the support center office, and the work is sedentary. Typically, the associate may sit comfortably to do the job. However, some tasks and activities may be walking, standing, bending, carrying light items such as papers, files, books, and small parts, driving an automobile to a store location, etc. These activities are not frequent and do not require significant physical demands to perform the work.
While involving everyday risks or discomforts, the work environment is designed with standard safety precautions. These precautions, typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, residences, or commercial vehicles, include using safe work practices with office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, ensuring the safety and comfort of our associates.
