As part of Bureau Veritas's AI scaling journey to convert local experimentation into trusted, production-grade capabilities that enable business-led transformation, we are recruiting for our Bureau Veritas DxT AI Team an Enterprise AI Architecture Director (F-M-D) on a permanent (CDI) contract.

Reporting to the AI & Data Senior Vice President, you will join the DxT AI Team based in our Head Quarters – Paris.

You will work closely with our operational teams and our clients within the framework of shaping enterprise AI in a global assurance business where trust, evidence, and expert judgment are the product.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

Your mission is to define the technical vision, architecture, process patterns, and implementation approach for a Bureau Veritas operating system for trust, ensuring you scale expert judgment, strengthen consistency and defensibility, enable differentiated AI capabilities, and reduce coordination burden across AI-enabled delivery. Your role is essential to convert local AI experimentation into trusted, production-grade capabilities.

You will:

• Translate priority business journeys into AI technical strategy, architecture, process patterns, and implementation roadmaps that enable transformation at scale across Bureau Veritas
• Partner with business and technology leaders to architect AI capabilities, reusable platforms, data assets, and integration patterns that create durable competitive advantage, compound organizational knowledge, strengthen expert judgment, and embed Bureau Veritas into client workflows
• Define enterprise AI architecture integrating models, agents, copilots, orchestration patterns, workflows, applications, data services, and the AI Context Fabric & Semantic Platform within the broader technology landscape
• Design agentic process and implementation patterns defining how agents coordinate work across systems, teams, decisions, and handoffs, including automation, escalation, human review, and certified expert judgment protocols
• Consolidate similar solutions into shared technical foundations including backbones, archetype skeletons, agent-to-agent platform capabilities, identity and access patterns, and component libraries that enable teams to build rather than recreate
• Define and manage the AI solution lifecycle from discovery and design through build, validation, deployment, monitoring, iteration, and retirement, ensuring consistent practices for quality, reuse, security, and production readiness
• Implement enterprise approaches for AI evaluation, testing, monitoring, and release readiness to ensure assurance properties operate reliably in production environments
• Embed defensibility and certified-judgment boundaries into AI system design through lineage tracking, deterministic handling of attestable logic, agency-level controls, human sign-off requirements, and built-in confidentiality, impartiality, data rights, and regulatory controls
• Guide technology selection and trade-offs for make-vs-buy decisions, platform choices, integration patterns, and architecture using the principle of buying commodity capabilities and building differentiating assets where Bureau Veritas's trusted judgment creates advantage

THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

Strong command of APIs, distributed systems, integration patterns, cloud-native architectures, and SaaS integration — Allows you to define enterprise AI architecture that integrates models, agents, workflows, and data services seamlessly within the broader technology landscape.

Deep expertise in AI/ML systems, agentic architectures, and evaluation-driven development — Provides you with the technical foundation to design agentic process patterns, implement AI solution lifecycles, and ensure production readiness through robust evaluation and testing approaches.

Experience with data platforms and AI Context Fabric & Semantic Platform capabilities — Enables you to architect how data assets, semantic layers, and AI services fit together to create durable competitive advantage and compound organizational knowledge.

Experience handling sensitive data under regulatory, confidentiality, or access-control constraints — Ensures you can embed defensibility, lineage tracking, certified-judgment boundaries, and regulatory controls into AI system design from the start, maintaining Bureau Veritas's trust standards.

Pragmatic technical leadership able to move between strategy, architecture, process design, and implementation detail — Helps you balance high-level technical vision with hands-on implementation ownership, ensuring technical direction translates into working systems.

Ability to align global and local teams and influence senior stakeholders — Enables you to partner effectively with business and technology leaders across regions, driving adoption of shared AI foundations and reusable patterns through value-driven delivery.

Builder mindset focused on consolidating solutions into shared technical foundations — Allows you to create backbones, archetype skeletons, component libraries, and platform capabilities that reduce fragmentation and enable teams to build rather than recreate.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.

You have minimum 12 years of experience in software architecture, AI platforms, distributed systems, data platforms, or enterprise-scale digital platforms, with a proven track record turning strategy into implemented systems across complex stakeholder environments.
