Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Admissions Assistant, CPHS (Undergraduate & Pathway Programs)

If you're looking to grow your leadership, communication, and professional skills while supporting prospective students, the Admissions Assistant position with an emphasis in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (CPHS) Undergraduate and Pathway Programs may be a great fit for you!

The Admissions Assistant serves as a student representative to support CPHS recruitment efforts, create engaging social media content, assist with admissions events, and complete administrative projects. This role provides valuable experience in student engagement, recruitment, marketing, and higher education admissions.

The Admissions Assistant serves as a student ambassador for CPHS, supporting recruitment efforts by helping prospective students and families learn about Belmont's undergraduate health sciences programs, pathway programs, and student experience. This position exists to enhance engagement, strengthen outreach initiatives, and support the college's enrollment goals through student representation and admissions support.

Primary Responsibilities

Represent Belmont University by engaging with prospective students and families and helping them learn more about CPHS undergraduate majors, pathway programs, campus life, and the admissions process during events, information sessions, and campus visits.

Assist with creating, capturing, and sharing social media content that highlights student life, academic programs, clinical and experiential learning opportunities, faculty engagement, campus events, and the Belmont experience to help prospective students connect with the university.

Assist with the preparation and execution of admissions events (campus visit programs, open houses, and admitted student events), helping to create a welcoming and positive experience for prospective students and their guests.

Support recruitment efforts by helping prepare and distribute communications and materials for prospective and admitted students interested in CPHS undergraduate and pathway programs.

Complete administrative projects such as organizing materials, data entry, assembling recruitment packets, and other office tasks that support recruitment and admissions initiatives.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with prospective students, families, faculty, and university staff.
  • Ability to represent Belmont University and the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in a positive and professional manner.
  • Interest in healthcare, science, or health professions education and a willingness to learn about CPHS undergraduate and pathway programs.
  • Basic knowledge of and interest in social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Required EducationMust be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. Required ExperienceRequired Experience Previous experience in customer service, student leadership, campus involvement, event support, social media content creation, healthcare-related student organizations, or administrative work is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and enthusiasm for sharing the Belmont experience with prospective students and families. Familiarity with the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences academic programs, pathway programs, or student involvement opportunities is beneficial but not required.
