About the role

Mater Private Hospital South Brisbane is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to work within our Neurology and Neuro Surgical Service. This position will be employed on a Permanent Part-time Basis – 32 hours per week.

We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to continue to provide clinical expertise in a dignified and respectful manner, working closely with patients and their families to ensure a sensitive, welcoming and friendly environment at all times, whilst providing optimal patient outcomes.

Salary range: $37.93 - $40.34 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Utilising a structured approach carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
  • Within scope of practice, implements planned evidence-based nursing interventions
  • Act as a patient advocate ensuring patients are informed and consent is gained prior to procedures
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an environment which promotes safety, security and personal integrity of individual patients and groups
  • Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
  • Complies with organisational policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines
  • Ensure confidentiality of corporate and patient information

About you

To be successful in your application you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Recent nursing experience in an acute hospital setting (at least 1-year post-graduate experience)
  • Previous experience within a pre and post-operative nursing care in an acute setting is highly desirable
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
