About Auburn House
A Place for compassion Auburn House is an aged care provider and specialist person’s mental health unit with 30 private rooms in a newly refurbished home like environment. We care for residents with diverse mental health, behavioural and psychological needs. Our care model is centred around the person, ensuring their ability to make choices in every aspect of their lives is supported. We strive for care that is provided in consultation with each person, eliminating institutional elements to the greatest extent possible.
We are a vital part of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne Continuing Care Services, a key clinical service program of SVHM and broader SVHA Public Hospital division. Auburn House operates with a qualified nursing workforce of Enrolled and Registered nurses with agreed workforce ratios and staffing levels that exceed industry standard.

About You
Empathy and Expertise: We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Enrolled Nurse with a background in aged mental health or dementia care. Your unwavering commitment to a person-centred approach to care will empower residents to achieve their health goals and enhance their overall well-being. With a positive work attitude and engaging manner, you will thrive on the unique and varied needs of our resident population, striving to provide the highest standard of care.
Qualification and Commitment: in addition to your experience, you will need:
Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
An understanding of relevant legislation; principles and practice of aged psychiatry, and an understanding of the Commonwealth Aged Care Standards
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or be willing to obtain.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.
In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
