Hours: Part-Time (30 hours per week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
Salary: Β£28,000 - Β£35,000 (Β£22,400 - Β£28,000)
Office Based: Juniper Training, 34 Pocklingtons Walk, Leicester. LE1 6BU.

At Juniper Training, we're looking for an enthusiastic English Tutor to deliver Functional Skills and GCSE English to learners aged 16–18, helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in further education, employment, and life.

✨ What You'll Be Doing ✨

πŸ“– Deliver Inspiring Lessons – Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills and GCSE English sessions that motivate learners and develop their knowledge and confidence.
πŸ“ Assess & Support Progress – Mark work, provide constructive feedback, complete learner reviews, and prepare students for exams through ongoing assessment.
🀝 Mentor & Encourage – Support learners to overcome barriers, improve attendance, achieve their goals, and progress into employment or further learning.
🎯 Create an Inclusive Learning Environment – Provide excellent learner support, including SEND, while promoting safeguarding, British Values, and learner wellbeing.
πŸ“Š Maintain Quality Standards – Complete accurate learner records, monitor attendance and retention, and contribute to achieving contractual and quality targets.
🌟 Work Collaboratively – Engage with employers, guest speakers, colleagues, and external agencies to enhance the learner experience and provide cover where required.

βœ… What You'll Bring βœ…

βœ” A Level 3 Teaching Qualification (or willingness to achieve one within six months)
βœ” English specialism with experience delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE English
βœ” Minimum Level 2 English & Maths
βœ” Experience working with 16–18-year-old learners
βœ” Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills
βœ” The ability to motivate, engage and inspire learners while managing challenging behavior positively

πŸ’‘ Desirable: Level 4/5 Teaching Qualification, Assessor Qualification, and previous experience supporting learners with additional needs.
