Job Description

Responsible for offering English training in the job-specific areas. Focuses on teaching English for specific areas of knowledge or on-the-job capabilities needed for certain positions.

  • Identify English training needs and plan training programmes to bridge the learning gaps.
  • Liaise with the HODs, and identify special English needs for individuals and plan individual English Development Plans.
  • Identify English communication difficulties and plan to address the specific needs.
  • Plan and prepare well-structured, clearly presented lessons appropriate to the abilities of the staff.
  • Help staff develop High Performance English skills in line with the company standards and to uphold the VPV of Villa Hotels.
  • Making sure that the training room is a stimulating environment that facilitates learning through effective learning strategies.
  • Create enthusiasm for the English and inspire all staff to work to their potential by demonstrating high standards in the use of English as the common language and help develop English for progress of the operation.
  • Prepare and train all the staff for resort phraseologies.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour by encouraging a positive, proactive approach to learn and build productive relationships among the staff.
  • Provide high-quality, accurate, constructive and targeted information to the HOD about the progress of the staff.
  • Evaluate, record and monitor the progress of all staff enrolled for the training programs and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Maintain learning and teaching materials and resources as needed
  • Keep up-to-date of current trends of English in relevant industry and vocational education, and use the trends to improve English communication among the staff.
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Adhere the Code of Conduct of the resort.
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested by the Training and Development Manager(s).

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in English Language teaching
  • Good presentation skills
  • People person
  • Open to learning
