Job Description
Gems International School Soma Bay is seeking a motivated and experienced English Teacher (Primary 4, 5, 6) to join our dedicated team. This role involves teaching upper primary students and fostering strong language skills to support their academic growth and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to Primary 4, 5, and 6 students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and promote an interactive classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Encourage student participation and foster a love of reading, writing, and communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enrich the English curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to a supportive and positive school environment focused on student well-being and success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
- Teaching certification and relevant qualifications for primary education.
- Experience teaching English to upper primary students (Primary 4, 5, 6) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition and child development.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create stimulating lesson plans that engage and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative teaching practices.
