St Helens College and Knowsley Community College are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in English to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support Further Education students in developing their skills, achieving their qualifications, and progressing towards their future goals.

As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, helping students to achieve outstanding outcomes. You will contribute to the College's mission of providing excellent education, training and skills development opportunities for all learners.

Working closely with the Head of School and Deputy Head of School, you will be responsible for the coordination, delivery and assessment of the courses you teach, while maintaining high academic and professional standards across Further Education, Higher Education and work-based learning programmes.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience teaching and motivating Further Education students.
  • Hold a relevant degree (a higher degree is desirable).
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification or equivalent, or be willing to achieve this within an agreed timeframe following appointment.
  • Have GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate a passion for helping learners succeed and achieve their potential.
