Qualified applicants typically possess:
At least 60 completed college credits (or equivalent relevant educational or instructional experience where appropriate for the assignment)
Strong English language arts knowledge appropriate for the assigned grade level
Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or supporting school-age students
Strong communication, instructional, and classroom management skills
Reliable, professional, and organized work habits
Preferred backgrounds include:
Certified teachers and substitute teachers
Reading specialists and literacy educators
College or graduate students studying education, English, literacy, or related fields
Tutors and academic intervention professionals
Writers, editors, and communication professionals
