  • Safety, Compliance & Quality
  • Build legal, environmental, quality and Umicore requirements into every project from the outset.
  • Guide technical risk reviews and make sure agreed safeguards and critical tests are in place before start-up.
  • Promote safe project execution and strong contractor practices throughout delivery.
  • People & Project Leadership
  • Lead and develop the team of mechanical designers and work preparation staff, building capability, engagement and accountability.
  • Guide multidisciplinary project teams and strengthen collaboration across engineering, operations and maintenance.

  • Broad technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and automation engineering; knowledge of process design and civil engineering is an advantage.
  • Strong commitment to EHS, process safety, quality and technical integrity.
  • Structured and analytical, with the ability to manage competing priorities, synthesise information and make clear decisions.
  • Engaging communicator and team builder who creates ownership across functions and with external partners.
