ASRC Federal NetCentric is hiring an Engineering Technician IV at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Under general supervision, perform facility repair project oversight through the Job Order Contract process. Provide project cost estimates as basis of comparison to subcontractor cost estimate. Perform facility and civil system condition assessments. Record inspections and observations within government databases.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare building and or civil infrastructure statements of work, estimate costs, and manage or inspect minor construction/major repair task orders assigned to the Job Order Contract (JOC) function. General understanding of the National Electric code, electrical installations as well as electrical safety is desired.
• Utilize established inspection criteria to perform construction or facility repair inspections and assessments.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and other contract documents as interface with subcontractors or vendors.
• Under general supervision performs assigned facility and infrastructure condition assessments. Utilizes established inspection criteria to perform assessments for entry into a government facility condition database (Builder). Provide structured input using UNIFORMAT II template of Facility Condition Assessments. Tasks will be scheduled on a recurring basis. Assessments involve condition reporting of building systems from roofs to foundations.
• Coordinate, evaluate, monitor, and document contract activities and progress. Prepare recommendations for contract modifications when requested. Review material submittals for compliance with contract specifications. Conduct pre-final, acceptance, and post acceptance inspections. Ensure appropriate turnover documents are provided at project closeout.
• Perform and coordinate design project reviews, as requested.
• Provide supplement support to evaluate, interpret and place completed work order information to the government NexGen work management system from the CLOIS Maximo database.
• Assist engineers’ creation and maintenance of utility system modeling through requested field data gathering.
• Support installation hurricane preparation and recovery activities.

Educational/Training Requirements:

• Requires an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or similar. Plus, two (2) to four (4) years of related experience. Equivalent education/experience is applicable.
• Valid FL Driver License required.
• Must currently possess a security clearance or ability to obtain one. US Citizenship is required for obtaining a security clearance.
• Working knowledge of CAD desired.

Work Environment
• Standard administrative/office environment. Computers and associated office equipment will be available as required. Working in a field environment also required.
• Physical location and work station space may comply with standards established by the USAF/USSF facility space requirements and may require working close to others. Use of audio equipment may be used without interference to others. Use of headphones or similar equipment may be used if devices do not impair or restrict effectiveness of fire or other safety alarms or notices.

Physical Demands:
• Field work will be required to investigate new construction/repair project requirements and evaluate/assess existing facility and infrastructure systems. Walking, standing, & sitting. Use of stairs is required to access the work environment.
