The Engineering Technician I reports to the Program Manager and will perform assignments that directly and indirectly support system installation and integration on board US Coast Guard Boats and Cutters. Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed; performs recurring work independently; Performs at this level or a combination of such typical duties as assigned.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
