ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (GENERAL ENGINEER)

The Engineering Technician serves as the Contracting Officer's technical representative, supporting construction projects by preparing key project documents such as estimates, Statements of Work (SoW), and Statements of Objectives (SoO). The role is responsible for inspecting and evaluating construction activities to ensure contractors meet all plans, specifications, and phasing requirements, while maintaining clear communication and coordination with project stakeholders. Duties include reviewing technical submissions such as submittals and RFIs, developing broad drawings and layouts to support construction efforts, and contributing practical technical expertise throughout project execution. Although specialized engineering or architectural degrees are preferred, they are not required; candidates with experience in drafting, surveying, construction inspection, estimating, or similar technical fields will be strongly favored.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will serve as the Contracting Officer's technical representative
• Prepares construction project documents such as estimates for projects, Statement's of Work (SoW) or Objectives (SoO)
• Inspection and evaluation of construction projects to ensure Contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and phasing
• Communication and coordination with project stakeholders
• Review of technical submissions such as submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Prepare broad drawings and layouts for construction work

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Specialized education such as degrees from accredited programs as an engineering, architect, or related field are preferred, but not required.
• Resumes indicating experience in drafting, surveying and inspecting construction, estimating, and similar efforts will be preferred.
