Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity. This includes the repairing, reporting and analysis of unplanned technical failures, and the execution of planned and scheduled maintenance in order to prevent unplanned technical failures. Provide technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses, including coaching and/or participating in problem solving, implementing solutions, sharing knowledge, building competence.
Your impact
As an Engineering Technician, you will participate in the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme, aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Providing technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses, including coaching and/or participating in problem solving, implementing solutions, sharing knowledge, building competence
• Providing input for annual maintenance budget. Reporting and tracking of the maintenance work order costs
• Support production to eliminate quality defects, safety risks and chronic technical issues
• Lead and participate in breakdown analysis
• Actively participate in maintenance routines to ensure that maintenance activities are
scheduled and executed in time with high quality
• Assist with the technical training program for all factory operational staff
• Strong Problem Solving and Fault Diagnosis skills are essential as well as previous knowledge of a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
• You will be a team player with a real drive for continuous improvement and development.
Ingredients for success
The Successful Applicant:
• Will have an NVQ Level 3 and National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, as well as a time served apprenticeship (please ensure detailed on CV)
• Dual trained (mechanical and electrical) with proven experience in manufacturing, Food industry being preferable
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• Experience in Installation and inspection and Testing e.g minor works training or City and Guilds
