Job Title: Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the hotel's facilities, equipment, and building systems. The role ensures that all engineering services operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with hotel standards to provide a comfortable and reliable environment for guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems as assigned.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders within the required timeframes.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain and repair hotel equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, and safety hazards to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the hotel's maintenance management system.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow hotel policies, preventive maintenance schedules, and health & safety regulations.
• Assist during emergency situations and support engineering projects as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineering management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering or maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
• Basic English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
