Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Engineering Tech (Hourly) opening to join our Commercial Laundry organization.
Hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $34.35
Primary Function
Monitor and analyze quality data to prioritize and stratify quality opportunities. Train Inspectors and Technicians in tools and technology to properly inspect products. Perform Root Cause Analysis using advanced WCM problem solving tools for Top Quality Issues in the plant. Provide leadership and guidance to problem solving teams to propose, evaluate and implement systemic approaches that reduce the risk of creating and/or releasing defects per WCM methodologies.
General Quality Responsibilities
=> Monitor Key Process Indicators, creating and editing databases & form tools if required, to improve quality data collection.
=> Responsible for creating inspection & test standards and instructing inspectors as well as informing them if their work does not meet standard.
=> Create effective data visualization and do statistical analysis to prioritize and stratify key quality problems that require resolution
=> Lead Team following a disciplined data driven approach to find the root cause and determine a corrective action with a focus on preventive and proactive approaches.
=> Create effective reporting for the plant team and communicate with leadership when help is needed.
=> Manage supplier quality issues using SAP and CAPA system
Tools & Equipment
Computers, fax machine, calculator, burden vehicle, towmotor/butterfly, hand trucks, weigh count scales, small hand tools, calipers, CMM, Tensile Tester, Leak Tester, All Regulatory Tests required by our product and various measuring instruments

Production parts and supplies, various reporting forms, tools, fixtures, training materials
Training/Licensing Requirements
Google Sheets, Docs & Slides, Excel, Minita b
Must be able to successfully complete Black Belt Training & Shainin awareness
Working Procedure
=> Support cost and quality projects by providing data and evaluation.
=> Evaluate parts and products for Non-conformances
=> Report issues with accuracy of BOMs
=> Track/Understand all CN's
=> Understand and support the APQP process as needed.
=> Communicate directly with suppliers & operations concerning APQP issues
=> Perform fit / function evaluations
=> Uses all designated safety equipment, observes all safety rules, and follows recognized rules of safe practice. Performs duties of a similar or lesser skill to facilitate the flow of work in the department.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math or Physical Science required
Entry Level
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment

Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, world-class manufacturing, and 6 Sigma tools and the ability to apply them in order to establish manufacturing processes
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the specific ability to act as a team leader and interact at all layers within the organization
