About the Role

The Engineering Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment in a just-in-time manufacturing environment. This role supports program launches, process development, and equipment deployment across Android/Avancez facilities. The Engineering Technician will help evaluate process flow, use simulation data to improve efficiency, and assist with the design and specification of manufacturing equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with dimensions, layouts, and equipment specifications.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate process flow from inbound materials through finished goods.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and apply formulas.
  • Ability to evaluate multiple solutions and recommend the most effective option.
  • Excellent follow-through, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and assist others when needed.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Ability to support equipment deployment and process development in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • An Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations.
  • Experience with production equipment, process development, or equipment deployment.
  • Experience working in a just-in-time manufacturing environment.
  • Experience interpreting equipment layouts, dimensions, or technical information.
  • Experience using simulation or process data to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Education

High School Diploma required. Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related discipline preferred.

Travel:

Minimum travel required.
