Job Role & Key Responsibilities
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer providing electro-mechanical support for a 24/7 automated flour mill and packing line. Role involves routine maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs, and small project execution to ensure equipment operates at peak performance. Participation in an on-call rota post-probation is required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
Spec and order replacement parts; manage site contractors.
Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota (after probation).
Support small projects and process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate will have
Strong electrical and mechanical skills; competent in process control engineering.
City & Guilds qualified or time-served multi-skilled engineer.
Competent working with voltages up to 415V.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and good communication skills.
Proven multi-skilling experience; able to work independently or in a team.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of PLCs.
Fabrication and welding experience.
