& Responsibilities
The Cleanroom Technician supports the assembly, testing, and handling of precision semiconductor metrology equipment in a controlled cleanroom environment. This role ensures strict adherence to contamination control standards while executing mechanical, optical, and electro-mechanical processes required to build and qualify high-performance inspection and metrology systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform assembly, integration, and inspection of semiconductor metrology tools and subassemblies within ISO-classified cleanroom environments
Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Handle sensitive optical, electronic, and mechanical components using proper cleanroom techniques
Maintain strict contamination control and cleanliness protocols (gowning, particle control, ESD compliance)
Support system testing, calibration, and basic troubleshooting activities
Document process steps, test results, and nonconformance reports accurately in manufacturing systems
Assist engineers and technicians in process improvements and failure analysis
Conduct routine preventive maintenance of tools, fixtures, and cleanroom workstations
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen)
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical certification
1–3 years of experience in a cleanroom, semiconductor, precision manufacturing, or similar environment
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and ESD practices
Ability to read and follow technical documentation, drawings, and schematics
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling delicate components
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation (e.g., MES systems, Microsoft Office)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or metrology systems
Exposure to optical systems, vacuum systems, or precision alignment processes
Understanding of ISO cleanroom classifications and particle control
Experience with calibration, test equipment, or diagnostic tools
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement training
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods (full gowning required)
Prolonged standing, fine motor skills, and repetitive tasks
Ability to lift up to ~25–40 lbs (as required)
Comfortable working with microscopes or precision visual inspection tools
Work Environment
ISO-classified cleanroom (e.g., ISO 5–7)
Controlled temperature, humidity, and particle environment
Use of PPE including full cleanroom suits, gloves, masks, and eye protection

Compensation & Growth
• Base Salary Range:
$66,080.00 - $99,120.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
