Sea Village Resort (Kailua-Kona, HI)

VI Resorts by Westgate, North America's largest owner-controlled timeshare and vacation club, operates Sea Village Resort, situated on the Big Island. Sea Village offers an oceanfront resort located on the sunny, dry side of the island in Kona. Units recently remodeled include fully equipped kitchens and a seaside pool, and the laid-back location features black lava fields and beach life with stunning ocean views. As a Engineering Technician, you will be an essential part of keeping our resort running smoothly and ensuring our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay. From tackling projects to solving day-to-day challenges, your skills will help create the exceptional experiences that set VI Resorts by Westgate apart.

As a Engineering Tech I, you will:

  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance, and special projects.
  • Perform general repairs, including painting, caulking, and basic facility upkeep.
  • Troubleshoot and repair common plumbing, lighting, and electrical issues.
  • Install and troubleshoot TVs, appliances, and in-room electronics.
  • Use maintenance systems to track and complete work efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with guests and team members to resolve issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use tools and equipment.
  • Identify and address safety hazards on property.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to support a positive guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 0–1 year of hands-on experience in trades or maintenance, preferably in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Valid driver’s license (must be maintained in good standing).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with energy, focus, and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive interactions with both guests and team members.
  • Adaptable and versatile, with the ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership.
  • Physically capable of regularly lifting, moving, pushing, or pulling 50+ pounds.
