Siemens is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to lead the engineering function supporting our Building Automation and Security portfolio. This role will provide technical leadership across building management systems, access control and CCTV, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You’ll lead a team of engineers and technical specialists, providing direction, coaching and support while working closely with project management, sales, customers and delivery teams. You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong engineering standards, driving consistency across projects and ensuring solutions meet customer, commercial and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
• Lead and develop the engineering team, including resource planning, technical guidance, performance and capability development.
• Oversee engineering delivery across building automation, access control and CCTV, ensuring solutions are technically sound, compliant and aligned with Siemens standards.
• Provide technical leadership on complex projects, supporting design reviews, solution development, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, standards and ways of working to improve quality, productivity and project outcomes.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales and customers to understand requirements and develop practical, commercially viable solutions.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, innovation and continuous improvement.

You’ll be an experienced engineering professional with a background in building automation, controls, security systems or a closely related field, combined with demonstrated experience leading or mentoring an engineering team. You’ll bring strong technical capability, commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, access control and CCTV, together with relevant engineering qualifications, would be highly regarded.

At Siemens, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a specialist engineering function at the forefront of smart buildings, automation and integrated security technologies. You’ll work with talented teams and innovative technologies while helping customers create safer, more efficient and more sustainable buildings.

If you’re a technically strong leader who enjoys developing people, solving complex engineering challenges and delivering meaningful outcomes for customers, we’d love to hear from you.

We strive to provide a safe working environment for each member of our diverse team and commit to continuously develop our ways of working on this journey. From our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan to our diverse cultural celebrations, LGBTQIA+ education and support to our gender equity initiatives, we strive to make our workplace an inclusive environment where every individual feels empowered and heard.
