When you join Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah, you are more than just your job title. We look for energetic, confident, and ambitious individuals who excel in their roles and help our guests succeed.

Set on 45 acres of beautiful tropical gardens and a long stretch of pristine sandy beach, Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah is perfectly positioned for business, meetings, and leisure travel.

Our guests’ safety, comfort, and experience always come first.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our hotel Engineering team. The successful candidate will support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the hotel’s engineering systems while maintaining high standards of preventive maintenance, guest service, safety, and operational efficiency.

A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Engineering team and ensure maintenance requests are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain centralized chilled-water systems, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, air-handling units (AHUs), fan-coil units (FCUs), and associated mechanical systems.
  • Carry out and supervise planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance across the hotel.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant rooms, equipment, guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and other hotel facilities.
  • Respond promptly to engineering-related guest and operational requests, minimizing equipment downtime and disruption to hotel operations.
  • Assist in identifying recurring equipment faults and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with hotel standards, health and safety requirements, fire and life-safety procedures, and applicable local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, checklists, and work-order documentation.
  • Monitor the proper use of tools, spare parts, materials, and engineering supplies.
  • Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives by monitoring equipment performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure engineering requirements are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Support the training and development of Engineering colleagues and promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer/Assistant Chief Engineer with departmental activities and assume supervisory responsibilities as required.

What do we need from you?

  • Technical qualification, Diploma, or equivalent vocational certification in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration (AC&R), Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Relevant technical or trade certification in HVAC/AC&R is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering/maintenance experience in the Middle East, preferably in a supervisory or senior technician capacity.
  • Previous hotel engineering experience would be an advantage, particularly within an international hotel environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience with centralized chilled-water systems and chillers.
  • Good overall technical knowledge of HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, mechanical equipment, and general hotel engineering operations.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, and building management systems would be an advantage.
  • Ability to diagnose technical problems and carry out or coordinate effective corrective action.
  • Good communication, organizational, and team-supervision skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond appropriately to emergency maintenance situations.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance/work-order systems are desirable.
  • Good command of English; additional languages would be an advantage.
