The Engineering Planner & Scheduler will support the planning, integration, and maintenance of engineering project schedules for HDNU Gas Power Engineering projects.
Working under the guidance of the Lead Engineering Planner, this role will assist in proposal, contract, and execution phases to ensure schedule accuracy, transparency, and alignment with project objectives. The position provides hands-on exposure to complex engineering planning activities and contributes to improving planning maturity and delivery performance across ongoing projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
Engineering Project Scheduling
• Support the development, release, and maintenance of integrated engineering project schedules using Primavera P6 in alignment with defined scope and execution strategy.
• Assist in execution and monitoring of project schedules for assigned Gas Power Business scopes (GT/GEN/ST/HRSG and BoP engineering).
• Support conversion of proposal/tender schedules into integrated contract schedules under supervision.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of Tender Time Schedules (TTS), Overall Time Schedules (OTS), Master Time Schedules (MTS), System Time Schedules (STS), and portfolio-level schedules as required.
• Support baseline schedule preparation, revisions (Rebaseline), and documentation of schedule changes through formal logs.
Proposal & Contract Support
• Support ITO and Proposal teams in developing schedule assumptions, scope matrices, and engineering delivery sequences.
• Assist in preparation of schedule inputs for deviation and clarification meetings.
• Provide data support for contract documentation and schedule-related inputs.
Schedule Control & Performance Monitoring
• Support regular schedule updates based on engineering progress inputs and PLM interfaces.
• Assist in critical path identification, float tracking, and schedule performance analysis.
• Support evaluation of schedule impacts due to scope changes and assist in preparation of impact analysis (EOT and as-impacted schedules) under guidance of Lead Planner.
• Participate in micro-planning exercises for critical or delayed work packages and support development of recovery scenarios.
Reporting, Analytics & Communication
• Assist in preparation of dashboards, KPIs, progress reports, and management summaries.
• Support development of S-Curves, progress measurement tracking (Earned Value concepts), and forecast completion analysis.
• Prepare weekly look-ahead schedules and support monthly reporting cycles.
• Track engineering and customer deliverable milestones (LD) and support reporting.
• Communicate schedule updates and risks to project stakeholders under direction of Lead Planner.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Work closely with the Lead Engineering Planner to follow established planning standards, templates, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and external vendors to collect progress inputs and ensure schedule alignment.
• Support documentation of lessons learned and planning improvements during project execution and close-out.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in Engineering Planning, Project Planning, or Project Controls within industrial, EPC, or manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.
