Job Description

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is currently seeking an OpEx Manager to support our division's Engineering function. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility. Relocation assistance is available to Raleigh from within the US. Travel is expected to be up to 20% of the time.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $122000 - $179000 a year.

Reporting to the Engineering Director of CPS, this role strengthens engineering operations across Critical Power Solutions by developing digital tools, standardizing processes, and enabling data-driven decisions that improve team efficiency and execution.

What you'll do

  • Support the Engineering Director in strengthening operations across Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Systems, Testing, and Compliance teams while coordinating with cross-functional partners.
  • Lead the development, deployment, and standardization of strategic engineering operations initiatives, processes, standard work, templates, workflows, and governance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, and develop recurring reports that provide visibility to capacity, project execution, and operational performance.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define meaningful key performance indicators, improve data quality
  • Work with Information Technology to translate engineering needs into system and process improvements.
  • Implement workflow automation and approved AI-enabled solutions that reduce manual work, improve knowledge discovery and analysis
  • Evaluate automation and AI use cases, develop proofs of concept, measure results, document controls, and support sustainable adoption across engineering teams.
  • Lead technical onboarding and training by partnering with subject-matter experts to develop structured learning paths, role-based plans, technical resources, ownership expectations, and effectiveness measures.
  • Manage Engineering SharePoint architecture and governance, retention practices, content ownership, and periodic reviews.
  • Lead engineering operations improvement, change-management initiatives by facilitating working sessions

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of experience supporting product-focused engineering, process improvement, or systems implementation.
  • Minimum of two years of experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, data models and reporting solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, power-management, or product-development organizations and partnering with IT to implement digital solutions.
  • Advanced Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform experience, including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
  • Experience applying automation and approved AI tools—including prompt development, knowledge solutions, and AI-assisted analytics—to improve business or engineering workflows, with working knowledge of data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, access controls, and responsible AI.
  • Experience with Agile, DevOps, Lean, project or change management, technical onboarding, standard work, SharePoint administration, document management, and engineering knowledge repositories.

  • Lead complex projects and change initiatives with strong prioritization, project management, follow-through, and the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to connect data, processes, technology, and people and translate operational needs into practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly through written, verbal, and visual formats while building alignment across engineering disciplines, sites, and supporting functions.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, adaptability, and a proactive, collaborative, customer-focused commitment to measurable and sustainable improvement, including responsible use of emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools.
