Engineering Manager, Platform Delivery

Healthcare SaaS Platform

Location: Gurugram, India (Onsite) Reports to: CEO

The Opportunity

We’re building a Provider Data Intelligence platform that manages credentialing, enrollment, and licensing workflows for healthcare organizations. Phase 1 is live with paying clients. Phase 2 is in active sprint. The roadmap through 2027 includes AI-powered document extraction, predictive analytics, FHIR/HL7 integrations, and client-facing portals.

We’re a US-headquartered company serving 270+ healthcare provider organizations. You’d own engineering operations for the platform, working alongside a Technical Lead who owns architecture and code quality. The product is being built against live client commitments on aggressive timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sprint process end-to-end: planning, execution tracking, release management. Surface risks with data and options before they become misses.

  • Build and operate the delivery metrics function: Jira dashboards, velocity tracking, cycle time analysis, commitment vs. completion, defect escape rates. Evaluate and run engineering intelligence tooling (LinearB or equivalent) for DORA-style metrics.

  • Serve as the company-side counterweight to an outsourced development vendor. Track delivery status, quality, and resource utilization independently. Hold the vendor accountable with data.

  • Own release readiness: regression pass rates, CI pipeline health, deployment checklists, rollback plans. Partner with QA and the Technical Lead on release quality gates.

  • Produce concise weekly stakeholder updates. Run cross-functional working sessions with engineering, QA, and operations domain experts.

  • Coordinate UAT between the development team and operations specialists who validate product behavior against real credentialing workflows.

Growth Path

Year 1-2: Engineering Manager, Platform Delivery with ownership of the transition from outsourced to in-house engineering. Year 3: Director of Engineering Operations across a growing product portfolio.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years in engineering management, engineering program management, or technical delivery leadership at a software product company

  • Experience owning engineering operations for a SaaS product with external paying customers

  • Track record of holding outsourced development vendors accountable using metrics: cycle time, velocity, defect rates, resource utilization

  • Expert-level Jira operation: dashboards, JQL, automation, sprint configuration, executive-ready reporting

  • Working fluency with engineering intelligence tooling (LinearB, Jellyfish, or equivalent) and DORA metrics

  • Clear, concise written communication

  • Daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot) for drafting, summarizing, and accelerating your own output

  • Comfortable with US timezone overlap: daily syncs at 5:00 PM IST

Preferred

  • Healthcare domain experience: credentialing, enrollment, licensing, RCM, provider data, or NCQA/CVO workflows

  • Enough engineering background to read a PR, follow an architecture discussion, and challenge an estimate

  • Experience building an engineering operations practice from scratch

  • Experience managing a transition from outsourced to in-house engineering
