This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of a fast-scaling fintech environment, focused on enabling engineering excellence across the entire organization. You will lead a platform engineering team responsible for infrastructure, DevOps, and developer experience, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and efficient. The role blends people leadership with strong technical ownership, requiring you to shape architecture decisions while empowering teams to move quickly and safely. You will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders to maintain a strong operational foundation in a regulated context. A key part of the mission includes improving developer productivity through automation and modern tooling. You will also contribute to the evolution of intelligent, AI-driven systems that streamline workflows and reduce operational friction across teams.

Accountabilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of platform engineers across infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and developer experience, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Define and drive platform architecture and technical roadmap, balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, and operational tooling within a regulated production environment.
• Build and champion AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows to automate repetitive tasks and improve engineering productivity.
• Improve developer experience by reducing friction across onboarding, deployment, and local-to-production workflows.
• Own incident management processes, on-call sustainability, and postmortem practices to ensure system reliability and continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with product engineering, security, and compliance teams to align platform initiatives with business objectives and risk requirements.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE-focused roles.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering management, including building and scaling high-performing teams.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud infrastructure and tools such as Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD systems.
• Experience operating production systems in high-availability and on-call environments.
• Ability to define technical strategy across infrastructure and developer experience domains.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to connect technical decisions to business impact.
• Comfortable integrating AI tools into daily workflows to enhance development, debugging, and learning.
• Bonus: experience in fintech or regulated environments, prior senior/staff engineering background, or interest in Bitcoin and financial technology innovation.
