
SEL’s Manufacturing Operations team is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of Engineers, Technicians, and Specialists to spec, design, build/procure, deploy, and support manufacturing robotic/automated assembly systems focused on electronic device manufacturing. This role will oversee a team primarily focused on automatingthrough-holecomponentplacement and printed circuit board assembly using a variety of machinesystems across2domestic factoriesand support startup ofadditionalfactories in the coming yearsThisleader will execute a multi-million-dollar annual capital budget and a team of approximately 20individuals, setting and executing strategy for the growth of the team and technical process area.
An ideal candidate would hold a degree in a mechanical or robotics engineering field, have experience managing large ($1M+) capital projects, and be skilled in leading, mentoring, and developing technical staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Leads one discipline/technology/process, keeping cost, schedule, and performance objectives in mind.
2. Assists portfolio planning and long-term strategy.
3. Performs management activities to attract, hire, supervise, and develop individual contributors to meet the goals of the group.
4. Participates in external meetings and presents at large internal meetings/forums.
5. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
6. Understand. Create. Simplify.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
B.S. in an Engineering field
8+ years of related engineering or management experience
Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines/technologies
Demonstrated ability to design/produce/support successful products/processes
Ability to manage product line/process problems requiring creativity, ingenuity, and guidance from manager
Strong desire to develop employees and lead projects
Ability to define general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. in Engineering or Management field
Project management experience and PMP certification
Experience in electronics manufacturing
Experience with automated manufacturing equipment

Pay Range Data: $136,100 - $201,100per year
Our compensationranges arebased on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay isdeterminedindividually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered atdifferent levelsbased on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
