The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the process engineering and quality control functions at the Greenville, Ohio manufacturing site, which produces specialty resins for the automotive industry.
This role provides technical leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient support of the site's 24/7 manufacturing operations. The Engineering Manager drives process optimization, continuous improvement, quality performance, and operational excellence while supporting the site's safety, reliability, and business objectives.
The department consists of approximately 20 employees, including process engineers, laboratory professionals, and hourly quality personnel. Reporting directly to the Site Director, the Engineering Manager serves as a member of the site leadership team and collaborates closely with operations, maintenance, technology, commercial, and supply chain functions.
Process engineering and quality management are critical drivers of manufacturing performance, making this role essential to the site's ability to achieve its operational, business, and financial objectives. As a member of the site leadership team, the Engineering Manager partners closely with operations and maintenance leaders to help establish and execute the site's strategic direction.
This position also serves as a vital link between the site and key corporate functions. The Engineering Manager acts as the primary liaison to corporate technology organizations, ensuring alignment on product formulations, process requirements, technology transfers, and new product introductions.
In addition, the role serves as the site's primary interface with the global quality organization, coordinating quality initiatives, supporting audits and investigations, and ensuring effective communication between site operations and corporate quality teams.
