Job Description

In this role, you will support the manufacturing of standard products, customized products as well as prototype components and collaborate with departments at our global locations throughout the qualification process.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing of our R&D department
• Advanced technical development for crystal processing methods
• Management of R&D projects while meeting time and budget targets
• Optimization and further development of production processes
• Management of projects for new and/or further developments of production machines and tools
• Sparring partner for the internal operations and product management organization
• Collaboration with international and national Coherent locations, universities and research institutes

Skills & Qualifications:

• Successfully completed university degree in e.g. process engineering, physics, mechanical engineering
• At least 5 years of professional experience and several years of people management responsibility
• Experience in the area of manufacturing optical components, optical crystals, crystal growing, etc. desirable
• Very good communication skills
• Knowledge of common project management methods
• Fast perception, flexibility and resilience
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• Willingness to travel (max. 15 %)
