What would you work on:
- Lead and manage a cross-functional team of software and data engineers - own their performance, support their growth, and foster a culture where people feel connected and do their best work.
- Build and evolve the technical products the team owns - automation solutions for operations functions (finance, accounting, treasury, legal, compliance, human resources etc.) and a Data Warehouse serving data and analytical needs of those teams.
- Own and drive the technical direction of the team - set architectural direction, facilitate problem-solving sessions, maintain solutions consistency, and make sure the team's solutions are built to last.
- Co-create the vision for automating and improving efficiency across operations functions - finance, accounting, financial controlling, treasury, legal, compliance, and human resources.
- Own and continuously improve how the team operates - from requirements intake and prioritisation, through planning and execution, to maintaining reliable production services.
- Work closely with a team of business analysts who gather requirements and map business processes before engineering work begins, ensuring the right problems get solved in the right way.
- Champion strong data management practices across the team - including data governance, access controls, and data quality standards for the company's internal Data Warehouse.
- Own the team structure - define what roles are needed, ensure the team size is adequate to deliver on business goals and hiring the right people.

- You're energised by organisational and business process efficiency - untangling historically grown workflows, bringing structure where there is none, and turning manual operations into automated systems.
- You know how to set technical direction and make architectural decisions, and you're confident doing so even in ambiguous environments.
- You're genuinely excited about AI and have hands-on experience applying AI tools in an engineering context - whether in development workflows, automation, or product capabilities.
- You have passion for developing people - giving feedback, spotting potential, and helping engineers grow into the best version of themselves.
- You're organised and proactive, with strong communication skills that work equally well in an engineering standup and a leadership meeting.
