Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager, ERP to lead a cross-functional squad responsible for evolving Vultr's internal control plane to be more aligned with a structured, ERP-grade platform. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Finance, Data, and Analytics to define what "ERP-friendly" means at Vultr, then deliver it. This is not greenfield, it is excavation and reconstruction while the building is occupied.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the technical roadmap for administer's evolution toward ERP patterns: product catalog, chart of accounts, revenue recognition, billing/invoicing, cost allocation

  • Build and lead a small, high-leverage team (Project Manager and ~2+ engineers) embedded with the Data/Finance/Analytics org

  • Navigate the tension between shipping fast and getting the data model right, know when to hold the line on quality

  • Define and enforce data contracts between administer and downstream consumers (Finance, Analytics, external reporting)

  • Translate finance-domain requirements into engineering reality without requiring your team to become accountants

  • Establish engineering standards, code review practices, and architectural decision records for the internal platforms team

  • Drive quarterly planning and prioritization in partnership with Finance and Data leadership

  • Hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of domain and integration engineers

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years managing engineering teams, preferably on internal platforms, billing systems, or ERP-adjacent products

  • Experience with at least one ERP buildout (NetSuite, SAP, Workday Financials, or homegrown equivalent)

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, can take a vague mandate and turn it into quarterly deliverables

  • Strong cross-org collaboration skills, will spend as much time with Finance as with Engineering

  • Proven ability to hire and grow engineers in domain-heavy, cross-functional environments

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Compensation:
