This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager, Data Platform in India.
This role sits at the intersection of data architecture, platform engineering, and people leadership, driving the systems that power enterprise-wide analytics and reporting. You will lead a high-impact engineering team responsible for building scalable, reliable, and high-performance data infrastructure used across the organization. The position blends strategic ownership with hands-on technical direction, especially around semantic data modeling and data sharing frameworks. You will collaborate closely with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to shape the roadmap of a modern data platform. The environment is fast-paced, cloud-native, and focused on engineering excellence and operational maturity. This is a leadership role where your decisions directly influence data accessibility, performance, and trust across the business.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role managing engineering teams. You should have strong experience designing and scaling enterprise data platforms with deep expertise in semantic modeling and data sharing. Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt and semantic frameworks like MetricFlow is essential, along with strong proficiency in Snowflake and advanced SQL. Familiarity with Apache Spark, Python, and Snowpark is highly desirable.
You should have strong operational experience owning production systems, including incident management, on-call processes, and reliability engineering practices. A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and data observability tools such as DataDog or Monte Carlo is expected. Excellent communication skills are critical, with the ability to influence stakeholders, explain technical trade-offs, and drive alignment across teams. Experience with data governance, performance tuning, and scalable distributed systems is highly valued.
