
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and oversight to a staff of an architect and data analyst as well as civil, electrical, and environmental professional engineers to support the University of Washington Seattle campus that is comprised of over 300 buildings and 15 million gross square feet. This includes a major Medical Center/teaching hospital, state of the art research facilities, classrooms, offices, sport and recreation facilities, utility distribution systems, 16 miles of utility tunnels and a central power plant. Additional support is provided to other campuses and facilities that are comprised of over 230 buildings and 4.5 million gross square feet including the University of Washington Tacoma and Bothell campuses, Pack Forest, Forks, Sand Point, Friday Harbor and the UW Tower complex. Consulting services are also provided to King County in support of the Harborview Medical Center Bond Project.
The leadership that this position provides will be critical to not only meeting the UW’s Sustainability Action Plan goals, but also the UWF’s strategic goals across the board (i.e. Leveraging Facts and Data, Preventative Maintenance, utility capitalization, etc.).
This role is based at UW Tower at the UW Seattle Campus. Hybrid work schedule with eligibility for telework.

Engineering Services is a team of engineers, architects, drafters, engineering assistants, and records staff that is responsible for all UW Facilities information and design standards.
