Join us as an Engineering Manager VP at Barclays where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.Lead multiple full-stack engineering teams delivering customer-facing and core banking capabilities. Accountable for engineering strategy, delivery execution, engineering excellence, people leadership, architecture governance, and AI-enabled productivity improvements across the software development lifecycle.
To be successful as an Engineering Manager VP , you should have experience with:
Own end-to-end delivery across multiple feature teams.
Ensure delivery against business outcomes, OKRs, and strategic priorities.
Govern engineering metrics including velocity, predictability, quality, deployment frequency, and operational stability.
Manage delivery risks, dependencies, technical debt, incidents, and production support.
Provide technical leadership across front-end, back-end, API, integration, and cloud technologies.
Drive architecture reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable.
Promote reusable platforms, frameworks, and engineering standards.
Guide teams on modern engineering practices and technology adoption.
Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices across teams.
Leverage tools such as Copilot, Claude, and enterprise AI platforms to improve productivity.
Enable AI-assisted code generation, testing, impact analysis, documentation, and knowledge management.
Continuously improve engineering efficiency and developer experience.
Establish and govern standards across design, development, testing, DevOps, security, and reliability engineering.
Drive platform stability, observability, and operational excellence.
Reduce technical debt and improve maintainability across applications and services.
Promote continuous improvement through metrics-driven engineering practices.
Lead Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, QA Engineers, and Scrum Masters.
Build high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative engineering teams.
Drive talent development, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

API-led and event-driven architecture.
Cloud platforms (AWS).
