Job Description

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager for our client in Porvoo, Finland. The assignment is expected to start as soon as possible.

In this role, you will act as a key partner to the Project Manager, ensuring seamless coordination across all engineering disciplines and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale projects.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Own and coordinate all engineering activities in close collaboration with the Project Manager
• Lead and coordinate engineering activities across disciplines (e.g., mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, process)
• Define project scope, goals and engineering deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain detailed engineering plans, schedules and timelines
• Plan resourcing and implementation together with other engineering disciplines
• Allocate and prioritize tasks across engineering teams to ensure efficient workload distribution
• Monitor engineering progress and provide regular status reports to project leadership
• Ensure all engineering work complies with industry standards, regulations and legal requirements
• Oversee engineering documentation processes and ensure quality and consistency
• Support change management and constraint management throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and resolve technical and coordination challenges proactively

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering processes
• Proven experience in engineering coordination within large-scale projects
• Experience in project design, planning, and execution support
• Strong technical problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Solid knowledge of change management and constraint management
• Ability to manage multiple interfaces and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong skills in quality assurance and scope management
• Ability to work under pressure and drive progress in complex project environments
• Finnish and English language skills
