This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the engineering function within transformer manufacturing, translating customer and regulatory requirements into safe, efficient, and scalable processes.
As Engineering Manager, you will sit at the center of cross‑functional collaboration—working closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and EHS to ensure manufacturing processes consistently deliver high-performing transformers. You will shape how products are built today while driving the technologies, automation, and standards that will define tomorrow.
This role is ideal for someone energized by building strong technical teams, improving manufacturability, and embedding continuous improvement into daily engineering practices. You will lead capital projects, guide new product and process introductions, and ensure compliance with global industry and customer standards. Your work will directly influence quality, throughput, cost, and long-term operational resilience, supporting Hitachi Energy’s commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainable growth.
How you’ll make an impact
Translate customer and regulatory requirements into robust manufacturing processes.
Standardize processes to improve quality, throughput, and manufacturability.
Lead Lean, TOC, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives across production.
Drive automation, capex projects, and technology upgrades.
Ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, IEC, CSA, DOE, and utility standards.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues.
Support new product and process introductions from validation to full production.
Coach and develop process engineers and technicians to build technical depth.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your back-ground
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
12–16 years of relevant engineering and manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated accomplishments.
Strong experience in transformer or electrical equipment manufacturing.
Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, and continuous improvement tools.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Ability to travel as required.
