Job Description

A premier luxury beachfront resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead all facilities and maintenance operations. The property receives municipal water and power, and operates its own on-site wastewater treatment plant. The ideal candidate brings strong MEP expertise across electrical, plumbing, and aquatic systems, with the leadership skills to manage a full engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all resort facilities and MEP systems
• Manage the on-site wastewater treatment plant, including operations, compliance, and recordkeeping
• Maintain all swimming pools and aquatic systems, including chemical management, filtration, and safety
• Manage electrical systems: distribution, generators, emergency power, and lighting
• Oversee plumbing systems across guest rooms, outlets, spa, and back-of-house areas
• Lead, train, and performance-manage the engineering team
• Manage capital projects, vendor relationships, and the department budget
• Ensure compliance with local environmental, health, and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management; trade certifications a plus
• Minimum 5 years of engineering management experience, preferably in luxury hospitality
• Demonstrated MEP expertise: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool systems
• Experience with wastewater treatment operations highly desirable
• Proficiency in CMMS and building management systems
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a remote island environment
