As an Engineering Manager at Senestia, you will lead with a strong technical vision and execution. You’ll be responsible for driving architectural decisions, guiding engineering best practices, and ensuring technical excellence across projects. Beyond the code, you’ll empower your team through mentorship and strategic direction—shaping both product impact and engineering culture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications.

• Provide strong technical leadership, including guiding architecture, driving technical decisions, and ensuring high engineering standards.

• Define team goals, strategies, and budgets, and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple locations.

• Set clear expectations for team members based on their roles and levels, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.

• Conduct regular check-ins with team members to provide performance feedback, coaching, and support their professional development.

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing priorities, timelines, and deliverables effectively.

• Support career growth, lead performance reviews, and contribute to compensation and promotion decisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure engineering initiatives align with company goals.

• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in software development with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.

• Minimum 1 year of experience leading small to mid-sized software engineering teams.

• Proven experience in designing software architecture and building distributed systems.
