What You Will Do

• Lead a talented team of full-stack engineers to design and implement scalable applications using TypeScript and Next.js.
• Oversee the deployment and management of applications on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine product requirements and technical specifications.
• Mentor and develop engineering team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews and agile methodologies.
• Analyze and optimize database performance using PostgreSQL to support application growth and efficiency.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the engineering team and participate in high-level architectural decisions.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 5–10 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Next.js, with hands-on experience in building full-stack applications.
• Proficient in cloud services, particularly AWS, with a solid understanding of deployment and infrastructure management.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and a focus on performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Preferred

• Experience in the DevTools or API SDK space, with a strong understanding of developer needs and workflows.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools, enhancing team efficiency and project delivery.
• Previous involvement in a startup environment, adapting to fast-paced changes and challenges.

Compensation and Benefits
