The Opportunity:
The Engineering Manager leads and coordinates all engineering activities within the GI unit in Chile, ensuring excellence in technical execution, resource planning, and operational performance. This role provides strategic direction, develops engineering capabilities, oversees outsourcing needs, and ensures that all deliverables meet contractual, quality, and on‑time delivery requirements. The Engineering Manager partners closely with Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and global engineering teams to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
How you’ll make an impact:
Provides strategic leadership for the engineering function to align execution with business needs, customer expectations, and contractual requirements.
Drives engineering performance, productivity, and continuous improvement across all activities and projects.
Oversees engineering planning and delivery for GI projects, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
Coordinates with Project Management to prioritize technical needs, allocate resources, and resolve engineering issues.
Manages outsourcing and capacity planning to ensure adequate engineering resources and effective delivery of external work.
Leads and develops the engineering team, strengthening capabilities, promoting collaboration, and supporting people‑development frameworks.
Ensures process excellence through standardization, knowledge sharing, digitization, and technical representation in customer and stakeholder engagements.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
7+ years of experience in engineering for power systems, substations, or grid integration projects.
English level: Intermediate
Proven experience leading engineering teams or technical functions in a project‑driven & disciplined environment.
Strong understanding of power systems engineering, protection & control, substation design.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
